Sunrise Manor is a census-designated place, located in the northeast region of Las Vegas, south of Nellis Air Force Base.
Sunrise Manor Las Vegas Culture
Sunrise Manor has a lot of latinos, horses, and million-dollar homes on large lots with big gates and high fences…

Interestingly, some of those who grew up in the area recall it as “ghetto” and swear they’d never move back, while others have lived here their entire lives and love it.
That goes to show you the diversity of opinion, which is largely based on one’s own individual experiences, as opposed to what the majority of residents actually encounter.

I personally live here, and find Sunrise Manor to be safe, and someone remote (remoteness–another complaint from those who dislike the area).
But I like being somewhat isolated, able to wander the nearby hills on my quiet early morning walks. Also, I live in the N. Hollywood Blvd. and Washington area, so other parts of what may technically be considered “Sunrise Manor” may indeed be less safe.
As usual with questions about safety: use good judgment and common sense when deciding which area to live in. Try to shop in the local groceries stores and visit the local neighborhood banks and parks.
This is a great way to observe and meet some of the neighborhood locals to see if you feel safe and comfortable in the area.
